HBASDC: PLACE NOT RACE DISCUSSION ON AFFIRMATIVE ACTION
MAY 29, 2014 6:30PM - 8:00PM - RSVP NOW!

We at HBAS-DC are excited to host Georgetown Law Professor and Harvard Law School Alumna Sheryll Cashin on Thursday, May 29th, from 6:30-8:00pm! Sheryll Cashin has agreed to have an event exclusively for HBAS-DC and our partners. We will have a conversation about future directions for affirmative action and her book Place, Not Race: A New Vision of Opportunity in America. We will also discuss implications of the recent Supreme Court decision to uphold Michigan's ban on affirmative action.

Professor Cashin will speak about her book, her research, and her proposals to reform affirmative action, and will answer questions from attendees. See Professor Cashin on ABC This Week as George Stephanopoulos asks about her book and the recent Supreme Court ruling (the full discussion and story can be found here).

Please RSVP and see Sheryll Cashin's bio at http://www.eventbrite.com/e/place-not-race-a-new-vision-of-opportunity-in-america-tickets-1161298174

We look forward to seeing you all!
