LaJoi Royston currently works as a free-lance education consultant, algebra instructor and cheerleading coach. She studied elementary education, concentrating in math and French, at DePaul University. Following her bachelors, LaJoi continued her education, also earning a Master's from DePaul in Curriculum Studies. LaJoi taught 5th grade, and was also a cheer leading coach before going on to complete her second masters in human development and psychology at Harvard's Graduate School of Education. While at Harvard, LaJoi was co-President of the Black Student Union and is excited about continuing her work within the Harvard community in the Chicago area through HBAS.
