Virtual Veritas Vignettes, a year-long storytelling series that brings our community together through the power of narrative. Each quarter, our alumni experts will equip alumni with practical tools to capture, craft, and share their personal and collective stories through various mediums—children’s books, memoirs, podcasts, and TEDx mini-series. Each three-month session focuses on a different storytelling medium, fostering skill-building, collaboration, and self-expression.

Does it seem like everyone has a podcast except you? Podcasts have exploded as an independent medium for news, education, and entertainment. So far, in 2025, about 30,000 new podcasts have been created each day. Yet, according to one source, 90% fail by episode 3, and another 90% never make it past episode 20.
Now more than ever, podcasts are abundant and regarded as the “true” source of news and information. How can you effectively utilize this medium to establish credibility, grow your brand, and ensure your message is heard in a sustainable way?
This workshop series will help you understand how to use podcasting successfully. Learn how to effectively use podcasting to amplify your unique voice as a valued member of the Harvard Black Alumni Society (HBAS) and make a global impact.
Learn how to:
- Define your purpose and audience.
- Evaluate and choose the right product for your podcast production.
- List the leading podcast platforms and describe their advantages and potential applications.
- Analyze and strategize your content.
- Identify high-quality equipment for podcasting.
- Explain effective strategies to distribute and promote your podcast.

Speaker Bio:
Eddie is a seasoned expert in leadership development. He collaborates with organizations dedicated to enhancing their leaders' capabilities and achieving measurable business outcomes. Eddie's accomplishments have earned him global recognition, including being named one of the Top 10 Motivational Speakers worldwide by Global Gurus for four consecutive years. He holds a Bachelor of Science in leadership and organizational behavior from Northwestern University and an Executive Certificate in Public Leadership from the Harvard Kennedy School.
