Your Next HBAS President and VP!

Congratulations to Kelly Shapiro and Sheria Smith

It is our honor to introduce Kelly Shapiro JD ‘05  and Sheria Smith AB ‘05  as the new HBAS President-Elect and Vice President-Elect for the 2025-2028 term!

As the current HBAS VP, Kelly has been critical to HBAS’ growth, operations, and voice during unprecedented times. She knows how to both generate and execute big ideas and has great relationships with the University, HAA, the HBAS national and local boards, and more. Kelly, as the first HBAS President who is not an alum of the College, will bring a new perspective to the organization.

Sheria was a breath of fresh air when she joined the HBAS Board as Events Chair. The Board was thrilled when she accepted Kelly’s invitation to run as her Vice President, as she was a committed Board member and a passionate advocate for the Harvard Black alumni community. We’re excited to see what she and Kelly will bring to the organization! Congrats Kelly and Sheria!
